Aspen Senior Care

In-Home Caregivers You Can Trust in Utah Valley

We know that you expect the best in-home care services for your loved one. With our team of professional caregivers - many of whom have been with us for 10 or more years - you can rest assured that your loved one will get the best of the best. We only hire caregivers who share our passion for helping seniors in Utah live comfortably and independently in their own homes. We care about the character of our caregivers and want to be sure they are caregivers you can trust.

How We Choose Our Caregivers

Other agencies hire whoever meets their basic standards. We are very choosy about the type of caregivers we ask to join our team, and we only hire those we would trust to take good care of our own family members. Our caregivers are compassionate, caring, and dependable people who want to help others, and who share our strong family values and the highest ethical standards.

Our Screening and Training Process

We carefully evaluate each of our caregivers with a thorough interview and a background check before they ever step into a client's home. We train our caregivers as Certified Companion Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, or both, to ensure they are confident and competent when working with our clients. We also provide certified hospice training, dementia care training, and total care training.

Monthly In-Service Training

Our in-person monthly in-service training covers safe lifting techniques, transfers, diabetic care, dealing with challenging situations, and much more. Quality training is important to us, and it never stops after onboarding.

Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care

Our professional caregivers use Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care training series to better understand memory loss and how this approach improves quality of life for both the caregiver and the person receiving care. The positive approach focuses on what individuals with dementia CAN do at each stage of the disease, instead of focusing on the skills they have lost.

How We Match Caregivers to Families

We know that the loss of independence is difficult, and that it can be hard to accept help with tasks which are no longer easy to accomplish. Often these areas include delicate day-to-day personal care or household needs. Our professional caregivers step in to assist and ensure each person in our care feels dignity and respect as we lend a helping hand.

Each person's needs are unique, and we strive to achieve the best client-caregiver partnership possible. After a no-cost assessment, our office staff carefully chooses the best fit for each individual in our care and introduces them at the first meeting. Field supervisors also follow up every few weeks to touch base and make sure we are meeting our clients' needs and wants.

Senior Day Care Services

Aspen Senior Day Center in Provo is the only licensed senior day program in Utah Valley. Here, seniors engage in music, exercise, games, nutritious meals, and friendships that bring joy back into their days. Families gain time to rest, work, or simply breathe, knowing their loved one is in a safe, enriching environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your caregivers background checked?

Yes. Every Aspen caregiver completes a thorough interview and a background check before being assigned to a client.

What happens if the caregiver isn't a good fit?

Tell us. Our office staff will reassign a different caregiver. Field supervisors check in every few weeks specifically so that fit problems surface early rather than after months of frustration.

Are your caregivers certified?

Can I meet the caregiver before care starts?

Yes. After your no-cost assessment, our office staff selects the caregiver they believe is the best fit and introduces them to you at the first meeting.
