Aspen Senior Care

Family-Caregiver Resources & Support in Utah Valley

Our award-winning team specializes in assisting seniors in their homes by providing caregivers you can trust.

Caring for an aging loved one is one of the most meaningful — and most demanding — roles you can take on. At Aspen Senior Care, we believe caregivers need care too.

IN-HOME CAREGIVERS YOU CAN TRUST!

We know that you expect the best care for your loved one. With our team of professional caregivers – many who have been with us for 10+ years – you can rest assured that your loved one will get the best of the best. We only hire caregivers who share our passion for helping seniors in Utah live comfortably and independently in their own homes. We care about the character of our caregivers and want to be sure they are caregivers you can trust.

Other agencies hire whoever meets their basic standards. We are very choosy about the type of caregivers we ask to join our team and only hire those we would trust to take good care of our own family members. Our caregivers are compassionate, caring, and dependable people who want to help others and who also share our strong family values and the highest of ethical standards.

Our Screening and Training

We carefully evaluate each of our caregivers with a thorough interview and background check. We train them as Certified Companion Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, or both to ensure they are confident and competent when working with our clients. We also provide our caregivers with certified hospice training, dementia care training, and total care training.

Our in-person monthly in-service training covers important educational topics including safe lifting techniques, transfers, diabetic care, dealing with challenging situations, and much more. As you can see, quality training is important to us!

Along with our monthly in-service topics, our professional caregivers use Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care training series to better understand memory loss and how using this approach improves the quality of life for both the caregiver and the person receiving care. The positive approach focuses on what individuals with dementia CAN do at each stage of the disease instead of focusing on the skills they have lost.

You Deserve To Feel Heard!

We know that the loss of independence is difficult for you or your loved one, and it can be hard to accept help with tasks which are no longer easy to accomplish. Often these areas include delicate day-to-day personal care or household needs. Our professional caregivers step in to assist in these areas and ensure each person in our care feels dignity and respect as we lend a helping hand.

Each person’s needs are unique and we strive to ensure that we achieve the best client-caregiver partnership possible. After a no-cost assessment, our office staff carefully chooses the best fit for each individual in our care and introduces them at the first meeting. Field supervisors also follow up every few weeks to touch base and ensure we are meeting our clients’ needs and wants.
