Aspen Activity Day in Salt Lake

Aspen Activity Day is the least expensive and most fun memory care option in Salt Lake Valley.  It’s like adult day care and is exclusively designed for seniors with varying levels of memory loss. Most importantly it gives you the respite you need while allowing your loved one to enjoy time out of the home, giving him or her more purpose in life and some fun social engagement.

As your loved one attends regularly, it becomes their Memory Care Club where they feel loved and included. We love making it possible for your loved one to enjoy a local senior center by creating a fun and safe environment with professional caregivers provided by Aspen Senior Care.

BENEFITS

Several of the benefits we see in clients who participate regularly are:

  • Positive mood changes
  • Slower progression of symptoms
  • Improved social and verbal skills
  • Increased physical and mental activity
  • New friendships
  • Increased appetite
  • Boosted self-esteem
  • Better sleep
  • Plus it gives family caregivers the break they need!

THE COGNASIUM APPROACH

With this program, we have fully adopted the Cognasium Approach for seniors with memory loss.  Cognasium means “gymnasium for the brain” and refers to doing those things which help the brain stay active and healthy.

Many seniors stay at home with little mental stimulation or interaction with others. This can cause their brains to go dormant and brings on memory loss faster. The saying, “If you don’t use it, you lose it” is very applicable to our brains in this phase of life.

Our program can help slow some of those effects by providing engaging activities, fun social interactions, and more purpose in life.
