How Aspen Senior Care began and why.
Hello,
My name is Gary Staples. I am the administrator and owner of Aspen Senior Care. I had always wanted to run my own small business--one that directly benefited other people and that made a real and positive difference in their lives. I researched my options for months and months and was so grateful when I found The Senior's Choice. With their help I was able to get started, receive some training, ask questions and network with others in the home care industry, yet I had the flexibility to run things my way. I met with Aaron Marcum of Arbor Senior Care in Salt Lake, another member of The Senior's Choice network, and he was very helpful. Aspen's goal has always been to provide the elderly with qualified caregivers that they could trust. We work hard to do this and especially look at the values of each caregiver and office staff we bring on board. Our reputation is based on this--and in the home care industry reputation is everything. My hope is that through this blog and our Facebook page we can stay in touch with the many people we have met and continue to meet along the way. Thanks for your interest in Aspen Senior Care and all that we do. We remain interested in you and your efforts to do good in this sometimes crazy world.

Gary, This is SO neat, to have this available; to 'share', AND to get input from--clients, their families, caregivers, etc., etc.; you are GREAT, (and you're humble). Take Care, and 'carry-on', (teasing lightly). Diane
